Email address — used to create and identify your account
Name — optional, provided at sign-up if you choose to include it
Password — stored as a one-way hash; we never store your password in plain text
Subscription and billing information
Subscription plan and status (Free, Pro, or Cancelled)
Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe; HomesTrend does not receive or store your card number, expiry, or CVV
Tax amounts collected on paid subscriptions (for CRA compliance)
Usage data
Pages visited, features used, and time spent on the application
Browser type, operating system, and general device category
IP address (used for analytics and fraud prevention; not linked to your identity in our logs)
Preferences
Email alerts opt-in preference (stored in your account)
Display preferences such as dark mode (stored in your browser only)

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. If the changes are significant, we will notify you by email. Continued use of HomesTrend after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
